UFC 88 Odds: Live Betting Lines From Offshore and Vegas

Chuck Liddell returns to the octagon as a clear favorite get past Rashad Evans, we compare the latest UFC 88 odds and betting lines. With a win Liddell will almost certainly set up a title fight with Forrest Griffin. Dan Henderson, Rich Franklin and Karo Parisyan also make their return at UFC 88 in Atlanta, GA on September 6.  Early lines have been steady to date with the only significant line movement favoring Rashad Evans and Matt Hamill.

Lines for the main card have been up for weeks, while odds for the undercard set to be released on the week of the event. Read our early analysis below. (Lines from Bookmaker.com sportsbook.)

Odds for UFC 88

Chuck Liddell (-285) vs. Rashad Evans (+225)

Matt Hamill (+185) vs. Rich Franklin (-225)

Dan Henderson (-185) vs. Rousimar Palhares (+155)

Karo Parisyan (-285) vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida (+225)

Martin Kampmann (+110) vs. Nate Marquardt (-150)

Chuck Liddell’s line is nothing out of the ordinary. He has made his career on destroying one dimensional wrestlers. Evans while being defeated has not displayed the kind of stand-up abilities that would trouble Liddell. He will require a complete overhaul of his game to take it to the Iceman.

UFC 88 also marks the return of “Hollywood” Dan Henderson. MMA veteran has taken a big fall after holding both the Pride welterweight and middleweight champion though he still holds plenty of respect with the oddsmakers who have installed him the -185 favourite over rising star Rousimar Palhares.

Rich Franklin returns to the light heavyweight division to face the Ultimate Fighter 3 star Matt Hamill. This will be Hamills second major test after his controversial decision loss to Michael Bisping. His wrestling has looked outstanding and if he continues to develop his top control and his stand-up he could certainly trouble Franklin.

Rounding out the main card is bout between long-time middleweight title contender Nate Marquardt and the well rounded Dutchmen Martin Kampmann. This one could either way though the early betting lines favor Marquardt.
