Cro-Cop vs Overeem Odds
Odds for this match-up have not been posted yet but we’ll update this page when they do.
Clearly if Cro-Cop is at or close to the levels he has displayed for most of his MMA career he should have a comfortable victory. Cro-Cop is the way better striker and poses an awesome take down defence. Overeem has the edge in submissions but Cro Cop has great JJ defence and spent a lot of time on the ground with the likes of Josh Barnett & Fedor Emelianenko. I think Overeem is being a little overrated now, he has a nice three fight winning streak going that has come at the same time as his physical transformation, but I don’t buy this “new Overeem” hype. I’m not overly impressed with his record or stand-up for me its a foregone conclusion. Cro Cop has fixed up his breathing and nose problems, that will make a huge difference if they fight goes beyond the first round.
Assuming Cro Cop returns to top form, the DREAM’s heavyweight title shot against the underrated Kharitonov will be the most likely scenario for Dream NYE event.
