Here we have a perfect storm. Steve Marino is leaving the windy conditions and Bermuda greens of Mexico extremely confident. He finished with a seasons best second place at the Mayakoba. His ball striking stats were impeccable there, ranking 4th in greens in regulation and 10th in driving accuracy. He also had a great week with the putter finishing in the top 10 with the flat stick. Goosen has struggled of late, especially with his ball striking. He comes to a course in Southern Florida that demands precision. Retiefs confidence has to be at rock bottom right now.

Marino competed last year at the Honda and walked away with a top 20. This shows me that he feels comfortable on the course. He’s won several mini tour events in Florida as well. Look for Marino to be near the top of the board come Sunday.
