Hertha Berlin’s has seen a resurgence in form in recent games and I expect that trend continue tonight when they face relegation threatened Duisburg. Hertha are unbeaten in their last 3 matches and have lost only 1 of their last 5. Before the Christmas break they held Bayern Munich to a 0-0 draw in Berlin and since then have beaten the reigning champions Stuttgart away from home, defeated Arminia Bielefeld at home and drew with Wulfburg last week. They have also kept successive clean sheets and do look to be a much improved outfit.
Duisburg are coming of a vital win over Bielefeld but had gone 5 matches without a win and has won only 2 of their last 11 league fixtures.
Hertha’s recent form has been a breath of fresh air for the club after a mostly disappointing season but they are a team with a lot of talent. Josip Simunic and Arne Friedrich will lead the strong defence and with the likes of Mineiro and Pal Dardai in midfield and top scorer Marko Pantelic up front I expect them display their superiority in all areas of the pitch at home and deliver a comfortable victory.
